In order for this to work, you would have to be off the ground (jumping or falling) and then clicking rapidly while holding a sword. Tip: This weapon and the trowel are usable in ForceField mode.
Another cool trick is the "superball jump." Similar to the "slingshot jump," ensure that your camera angle is a top-down view (head-to-feet) and then while jumping shoot the superball at the feet. Tip: This is one of many ways to "fly" in the game.
