Surprise! Payrolls Drop in 28 U.S. States, Joblessness Rises in 21 in Labor Setback

There is still no real reason to be optimistic about the economy, especially the job market. Add this to the other “unexpected” economic news: Consumer confidence dropped in December, and home prices dropped 1.3% from September to October.

I just do not fully understand how job opportunities can be developed when a large number of American companies are taking their profits overseas. Take GE by way of example. Their recent initiatives to construct jet engines for the Chinese will result in them giving over their designs for the engines they build. A different business, Yum Brands, is earning over sixty percent of its income from outside the USA. Until trade policies are modified, the downward spiral in jobs is likely.
